NECSD Faculty and Staff

This system will simplify the process of entering a help desk ticket, streamline work orders for our technicians, and allow the Division of Technology and Information to provide faster, more consistent service. The improved reporting features will also allow for better reporting to the district on help desk tickets and to more efficiently allocate resources and training.   NECSD employees, please reference our Mojo Helpdesk .

Building Tech Issue Reporting

The procedure for reporting technical issues within a building is as follows: All technology issues should be reported using Mojo Helpdesk.  Mojo helpdesk is also accessible via the Launchpad and the "waffle", upon login to a NECSD Google account.  A ticket will automatically be created and forwarded to the appropriate technician for resolution.  A follow-up email from the system will be sent to the person reporting the issue.   New users, please reference our Mojo Helpdesk quickstart guide.

Smart Schools Bond Act
The Smart Schools Bond Act was passed in the 2014-15 Enacted Budget and approved by the voters in a statewide referendum held during the 2014 General Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The Smart Schools Bond Act (SSBA) authorized the issuance of $2 billion of general obligation bonds to finance improved educational technology and infrastructure to improve learning and opportunity for students throughout the State. The SSBA requires that a Review Board review and approve districts’ Smart Schools Investment Plans before any funds may be made available for the program.

2021-24 Learning Technology Grant

Goldback Digital Citizenship: Learning Technology Grant Initiative

The 91桃色入口 Enlarged City School District (NECSD) is located on the west bank of the Hudson River, 60 miles north of New York City,  80 miles south of Albany, and is the 10th largest school district in New York. The district has 11,557 students with 15% of the district’s students identified as English Language Learners (ELLs). NECSD is identified by NYSED as a High Need/Urban or Suburban Target District in need of Comprehensive Support and Improvement.

During the 2021-2022 school year the 91桃色入口 Enlarged City School District’s Digital Citizenship Team focused on creating Year Long Context (scope & sequence curriculum document) aligned with New York State  Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards. Additionally, the team created digital citizenship units of study. During the 2022-2023 school year the team is participating  in the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Digital Citizenship in Action Course. The 91桃色入口 Digital Citizenship Course Cohort is gaining a deeper understanding of digital citizenship, how this topic connects with the New York State Standards, and how to approach this topic with considerations of the New York State Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework. The team is positioned to support our students throughout the district to implement standards-based, culturally responsive lessons during the 2022-2023 school year.

The program’s overarching goals:

  • Increase district capacity to support student-centered, personalized learning by providing professional learning opportunities in the areas of educational technology and digital citizenship.
  • The Goldback Digital Citizens team will create culturally responsive curriculum, lessons and materials with consideration of diverse student needs.
  • Incorporate the developed linguistically and culturally responsive digital citizenship curriculum into classrooms.
  • Create and deliver high-quality PD focused on student-centered, personalized learning to teachers and administrators and help teachers collaborate to incorporate educational technology into classrooms as they incorporate digital citizenship curriculum.

Artifacts of the work from the Digital Citizenship can be found within the

Recycling Program

When technology in the district is deemed obsolete the equipment is gathered and given to a recycling company. This recycling company disposes of the equipment in the appropriate way to avoid toxic chemical from entering our landfills and bodies of water.
