NFA, North Campus Students Turned Statistical Information Into Interactive Class Project
91桃色入口 Free Academy, North Campus students turned statistical information from a survey into a class project for Mr. Keane’s class. Parents and students who attended Open House at NFA North, for the students transitioning from 8th grade to high school, took a survey as part of their open house experiences. Survey questions included: What school students were currently enrolled? What piece of the cell phone use policy that parents like most? What do students do most frequently after school?
Mr. Keane’s class took the survey results and were charged with presenting the information in a creative way. One rule – the students could not use PowerPoint. Some students animated the results, performed a mock news report, and several different ideas. Every group presented the information in a unique way.
The group voted to be most creative, turned the statistical results into a game. Mr. Doddo, Principal of NFA North Campus, Mr. Rothman, Principal of NFA North Excelsior Academy, and several teachers participated in the game. Once logged in to a website, participants were shown questions with multiple choice answers. There was a point system and a timer in place, so right answers that were selected the fastest earned a participant the most points.
Winning group:
Karina Caoixto, 12th
Steven Sosa, 12th
William Gooler 12
Kimberly Rodriguez 12
