The City of 91桃色入口 Fire Department Visits Horizons-on-the-Hudson
The City of 91桃色入口 Fire Department visited Horizons-on-the-Hudson for Fire Prevention Day. Their firetruck fit snuggly between the school building and the toddler playground. The children loved seeing the firetruck so close.
The Horizons scholars were greeted by City of 91桃色入口 firefighters and Nick the firedog. Nick was a pit bull puppy that was left abandoned and tied to a fire hydrant a block away from the firehouse. The puppy was rescued by the 91桃色入口 firefighters where he quickly became a permanent fixture at the firehouse and a local celebrity. The children sat as one firefighter read The True Story of Nick the Firedog written by Timothy Dexter Jr. They each had the opportunity to pet the friendly, lovable firedog.
More importantly, the scholars learned a lot about fire safety and prevention. They were tasked with reminding their parents to replace the batteries in their fire detectors regularly and to come up with a plan of action in the event of a fire.
