NFA Scholars Provide Fresh Produce for Our Community
Current and former scholars from 91桃色入口 Free Academy (NFA) and are providing the community with healthy and delicious vegetables from the "" community garden located in front of the Dutch Reformed Church. The students were stationed in the courtyard of the 91桃色入口 Free Library. Their table was filled with the harvest as well as fresh flowers. Christine Hutchinson and his scholars, as part of The , along with Kubrat Ogunleye and Same Adels of Land to Learn, have been working to maintain the community garden which provides fresh, local produce to the 91桃色入口 community.
On Thursday, July 14th, the scholars were visited by the new Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Jackielynn Manning Campbell. The scholars explained what it takes to maintain the "Our Core" community garden and how their journey began. They also discussed the importance of having healthy alternatives for their community. Dr. Manning Campbell praised the students for their efforts and for being the change they want to see in their community.
The NUFFI and Land to Learn teams will be stationed in front of the 91桃色入口 Free Library every Thursday, 11:30AM - 1:00PM throughout the summer with fresh produce for families of the 91桃色入口 community to bring home and enjoy.
