NFA West student interns at local radio station
NFA West junior, Anthony has an internship at local radio station, Dr. Padilla stopped by to find out how he was acclimated to this out of the classroom learning space.
"I've been in the radio business for 27 years, but I started late because life happened. Anthony and I run parallel like that. It's okay to do what you want to do, until the time comes for you to do what you were meant to do. I've never been fired for a radio job ever. I just love the business. I've been here at this station for 13 years. I love this place - this owner. Something I want to instill in Anthony as he does this internship is that you're nobody special because you're on the air. Don't let your ego get in the way of what you want to accomplish." Bob O., Host of Mornings With Bob O. on 103.1
This is not Anthony's first internship with a radio station. "I'm interested in music. I want to experience the environment and learn about the business. I used to think radio stations were just run on computers and people talked in small slots, but the full work that they do here is crazy. Writing commercials, selecting songs, editing promos, there's a whole lot that goes into this."
FoxRadio is home to 103.1 WJGK, 98.9 WGNY-FM, and 94.5 Fox Country, tune in and maybe you'll hear NFA West student, Anthony!
