Fostertown School's 2nd Annual Black History Month Talent Show!
Do you sing? Have a dance? Recite poetry? Perform Skits? Come on down to Fostertown’s 2nd Annual Black History Month Talent show! This event will take place in Fostertown ETC Magnet School at 6pm on Tuesday, February 25th.
This year’s theme is MOTOWN (from the 1960’s)
Everyone in the Fostertown Community is allowed to audition-- Students, Alumni, Teachers & Parents. You MUST present your idea to Mrs. Gray by February 18th to participate in the talent show. You will then be given an official invitation letter to participate by February 20th.
Here’s a list of song choices you can sing as a solo, sing with a group of friends, play an instrument or even dance to **YOU ARE NOT LIMITED TO THESE**:
- Good for boys: “I can’t help myself” ~ Four Tops, “My Girl” ~ The Temptations, “Aint too proud to beg” ~ The Temptations, “My Cherie Amour” ~ Stevie Wonder
- Good for girls: “Baby love” ~ The Supremes, “Stop! In the name of love” ~ The Supremes, “Dancing in the Street” ~ Martha Vandellas
Here’s a list of African American Leaders you can recite a poem about, perform a skit or even read a personal essay you’ve written in class (Costumes May be Provided! ):
