GAMS Hosts 105th Airlift Wing to Read to K-5 Scholars
In honor of Veterans Day, Gidney Avenue Memorial School (GAMS) hosted several members from the 105th Airlift Wing to read to all K-5 scholars on November 7th. Visiting readers offered scholars the opportunity to learn about their service and careers in the military.
Students were also surprised and excited by their mystery guest reader, their very own Mr. Wrancher, GAMS Security Guard. Mr. Wrancher served in the Army's 125th Signal Battalion, and was stationed at Schofield Barracks on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.
105th Readers: Technical Sergeant Robert Marin, Master Sergeant Jasmin Roman, Staff Sergeant Alan Tierney, and Technical Sergeant Kevin Monroe.
