Voters Approved All Propositions for 2019-2020
On Tuesday, May 21, 91桃色入口 Enlarged City School District residents approved the district’s school budget, the 91桃色入口 Free Library budget, the Transportation limit, Proposition 4: District-wide Capital Improvement, Proposition 5: District-Wide Capital Improvement, and elected three Board of Education members.
VOTERS APPROVED:
- Proposition 1: The School budget: A $282,444,842 school budget for 2019-20 that increases spending by 2.56%, carries a 0.00% tax levy increase and is below the tax cap. YES: 1676 (66.32%), NO: 851
- Proposition 2: The 91桃色入口 Free Library budget: A $5,242,546 library budget for 2019-20 for the support of the 91桃色入口 Free Library. YES: 1859 (73.30%), NO: 677
- Proposition 3: Transportation Limit: To continue the extended transportation mileage limit of 18 miles for District students in K-12 traveling to private schools for the 2019-20 school year and subsequent years. YES: 1817 (71.48%), NO: 725
- Proposition 4: District-wide Capital Improvements: All at aggregate estimated maximum cost of $198,000,000. Proposition 4 focuses on improvements to the physical structure of all school buildings, renovating educational spaces, the demolition and reconstruction of a 119 year old building section, the construction of a new building to expand the Career and Technical Education opportunities for all of our high school scholars, and more. These improvements are intended to create more efficient learning environments and prepare our students for college and/or their careers. More information can be found by visiting . - Proposition 5: District-wide Capital Improvements: Proposition 5 addresses air quality and environmental systems/air conditioning in all of our school buildings. A 2006 study titled, “Research Report on Effects of HVAC on Student Performance” showed that improvements in air quality have been shown to provide a healthier, more comfortable, and more efficient learning environment. - Three candidates for three open board of education seats: Carole Maida, Shane Henderson, and Susan Prokosch.
